BUKH | Authorized distributor in Taiwan
8 models in the DV RME and EPA (Beta) series, 17.6–35.3 kW (24–48 hp), mainly for SOLAS lifeboats.
Applications: SOLAS lifeboats carried on parent vessels (including totally enclosed / fire-protected types), workboats and small fishing vessels; the EPA series also covers lifeboats for the US market. Applicable regulations and procurement requirements for coast guard and naval lifeboats must be confirmed case by case.
Features
According to BUKH, more than 100,000 DV-series engines have been produced; the manufacturer states that the DV was designed as a marine engine from the outset.
The DV series offers six SOLAS-approved starting combinations (electric start combined with hand, hydraulic or spring start, or with twin starter motors and twin batteries); the EPA28 and EPA36 can be fitted with hydraulic or spring start.
The DV series can be fitted with an optional -40°C cold-start system tested under DNV witness, which can be considered for cold-climate routes.
The DV and EPA series hold DNV-issued MED Module B type-examination certificates; the EPA series is also listed as USCG-approved.
