Scope

This notice applies to hallmark-marine.com, the official website of Hallmark Marine Co., Ltd. ("we").

What we collect

This website has no online forms and requires no registration. When you contact us by email or phone, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, company, phone number and email address, and vessel and equipment details (vessel name, model, serial number, photos, etc.).

Purpose

To answer enquiries and prepare quotations, evaluate equipment selection, provide installation and repair services, supply genuine parts, handle warranty claims, and follow up on these matters.

Retention

Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept for 3 years from the last contact. Accounting records of customers are kept as required by the Business Entity Accounting Act (accounting vouchers for at least 5 years; books and financial statements for at least 10 years); repair and technical service records are kept for as long as needed for the service purpose. Data is deleted or destroyed when the period ends.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal data. Only to the extent necessary for the purposes above, we share the necessary equipment and contact details with the relevant manufacturer (in Finland, France, Denmark, the UK, Sweden or Italy) and with our IT service providers (Cloudflare, Google), or with competent authorities as required by law. Data is processed mainly in Taiwan; when shared with a manufacturer it is processed in that manufacturer's country, and our IT service providers may process it at their global facilities (including the United States), using email and information systems.

Third-party services

Cloudflare provides connectivity and security services for this website; it processes necessary connection records such as IP addresses and may set strictly necessary security cookies. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our email runs on Google Workspace. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts: when a page loads, your browser connects to Google to fetch the font files (sending connection information such as your IP address), which is governed by Google's privacy policy. Manufacturer videos connect to YouTube only after you click play (embedded via the youtube-nocookie domain) and are governed by YouTube's privacy policy; external links on this website are governed by the linked website's privacy policy.

Your rights

Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, you may request to inquire about or review your personal data, obtain copies, supplement or correct it, stop its collection, processing or use, or have it deleted. Email service@hallmark-marine.com or call +886 2 2462 2220; we will handle your request after verifying your identity. You may choose not to provide data, but we may then be unable to respond or provide our services.
